We live in an area rich with breathtaking rivers, streams, hills and valleys. Our water ways are a distinctive part of our region, impacting wildlife, recreation, business and development. But they are not always treated with respect. Pollution collected from stormdrains through out the region flows directly into the river system. This untreated water from rain, runoff and snow melt from surrounding communities pollutes the Rock River and its tributaries.
Illicit Discharges-- only water in the drain
It is our responsibility to protect the land and waters where we live by preventing fertilizers, chemicals and waste from washing into our waters.

Clean Water. Bright Future. is a partnership of 16 cities, towns and organizations dedicated to improving our communities by keeping local waterways clean. Together, we can keep the Rock River Basin’s lakes, rivers and streams clear and ensure a bright, healthy future for generations to come.
